The New Truck (New to Us) and the view from the bus.

Well, I was wrong about getting the Jeep repaired. As it turns out if you have $3000 worth of parts knocked off of a $2300 vehicle, it is not going to get repaired. It is 4WD and has a 5.2L engine. For a 1993 Dakota, it is in great shape.

Our basement AC for the front of the bus croaked so we are replacing it with a roof model. Step number one is getting the 120 pound unit on the roof of the bus. Doc, the owner of the RV park, volunteered to high load me and the unit to the top of the bus. I'm famous for my fear of heights. I nearly had to get the fire department to get me off of the roof of my old house. I climbed up to install a satellite dish and froze like a cat in a tree. I think Susie coaxed me down with a doughnut, I really don't remember.

Too funny! I am chair for the Scholastic Book Fair at Stuie's school this year. Been rounding up prizes for a golf scramble , setting up the events. Lots of work and fun! Want to donate any of your beautiful creations for prizes? :-)
Miss you two. Terri

E-mail your address to me, surely we can come up with something.

Nice truck. The bus sure looks spiffy since you polished the sides. The picture of you in the bucket really shows your best side. That's quite a view. Is there a strong smell of evergreens and pine in the neighborhood? A brisk breeze from the lake? I'm jealous.

When a front moves through and the wind shifts from off of Lake Superior, you can get some dramatic temperature drops.

The dakota looks good just the right size and a good motor , the motor home makes me wish (just a little) that I had one. Your afraid of heights I am afraid of auto repair.

I trust Doc is VERY familiar with the lever that raises the bucket as opposed to the one that dumps the bucket. I though it was the fire department that got you off the roof in Raytown. Great view and a great looking truck.

It's nice to have a truck with paint on it. Doc has that highloader and a bull dozer that he maintains the roads with. He is full time hauling and shoving gravel around.

Don't forget the Jays and Crows to go with the evergreen and humus smells. Indeed your best side. Sorry to hear about the Jeep, but the Dodge is just fine and should last for weeks . . . uh, years.
They have crows up the size of turkeys.

My brother hated the crows when he first moved back to mpls, said they were mournful and aggressive (had a small kid). Then he noticed they'd eaten most of the pigeons and lots of squirrels and now he likes crows.

Now that you mention it, I don't recall seeing any pigeons up here.

Good looking truck Steve. However how many years of driving up and down Padre Island and how many buckets of bait will it take before it has the character of the Jeep. Anxious to get back to Texas for some more fishing.

As soon I get the paint off of the new truck, it will start looking like the Jeep. I'm going to drive this one until the wheels fall off, too.
