Packery Channel is a 100 yard wide boat channel cutting through Padre Island

Here I am fishing off of the south jetty at Port Aransas. This is
the ship channel that is the access to the Port of Corpus Christi. A cargo ship is
passing a shrimp boat. As far as I can cast using my 12' rod is enough to get close to the channel
. It takes a six ounce sinker 30 seconds to sink.
